Jadah Bearden
I use name only pronouns. Texas is my home. My genre of poetry is Queer, Black Politics. Hugs and eating cereal at night are my favorite forms of self-care. Community care is how I heal from most fuckery, Lizzo's music handles the rest. Always down for a good cry session!
Janvier F. Nse
I am a poet and a philosopher. I am concerned about bringing joy and understanding through my words. I have been living in Burlington since 2008. I graduated from Saint Michael’s college.

Ishmael Ahmed was a common face in the spoken word, open mic scene in the late 90's early aughts. He could be found sharing his words and music at open mics and stand-up poetry events across Burlington and as far afield as Boston. He had the opportunity to work with musicians like Adam Wood and his trio "I'm big and I can dig"; Kemp Harris, Adam Osgood, Thelonious Griffen, and Adrian Sicam in the "Neon Grandma" project. He played a part in the "Burlington's Free Word Association" still to be found in the Big Heavy World catalog of Vermont music. He spent his time since focusing on his family and making a living in tech working in the cloud. The time has come to put his feet back on the ground

Kia’Rae Hanron is a born-and-raised Vermonter with a passion for teaching and the arts. Biracial and raised by a single white mother in Montpelier, Kia’Rae has always used art as an exploration of internal chaos and conflicts with identity. She is currently in her 6th and final year at the University of Vermont and plans to graduate in the spring with a degree in Art Education and a license to teach grades K-12. In addition to her plans to teach high school art classes, Kia’Rae also works at an outdoor summer camp in central Vermont as the Craft Barn director and Music, Art and Drama Arts director, as well as with the Clemmons Family Farm as a teaching artist, where she collaborates to develop workshops centered around exploring social justice through the arts. Her main mediums as an artist are drawing, painting, printing, and collage, and every now and then she has bursts of literary inspiration to shake things up a bit.
