Welcome to the Black Perspective’s first BBQ and Black Artist Event. Make your way down to Battery Bark on the night of August 22nd, from 6:00-8 pm, for an evening full of good food and slam poetry from some of Burlington’s finest Black creators. We, as an organization, aim to uplift Black voices, and what better way to do that then to showcase Black art in the written form? Make sure you bring a blanket or chairs, bug spray, and masks. We will be requiring social distancing, as well as mandatory mask coverage over the nose and mouth anytime food isn’t being consumed. There will be bathrooms available if needed. Some of our artists will have books to buy at our event, so you can take some of this Black excellence back home to your friends and family!
